- When we started with Exponea, they were extremely helpful & made sure we understand everything, so we can use Exponea in the best & most effective way - Personalisation is on another level with Exponea & easy to use within email campaigns (when you understand a little bit of Jinja) - When you understand Exponea completely (for example how it looks at the data with a filter) automations are very easy to set up - There are many possibilities for segmentations. Not only for email marketing, but also for channels such as Facebook Ads & Google Ads.
We've had a few more advanced cases which we were not able to set up within Exponea. We needed another tool for that, but Exponea is still extremely helpfull and will try to help you with these kind of things!
Before Exponea it was a struggle to set up automations, segments & personalization. With Exponea this is all so easy! Now, we have a more engaged crowd and the results of email marketing get better & better.
The Single Customer View which contains insight into things such as Customer Lifetime Value, preferred categories and RFM Segmentations. The out of the box integrations which fuel the events based analytics makes personalised omni-channel communications easily executable. The team is also great, from the customer success, integration, sales and support services, everyone is always more than happy to go that extra mile to get things done.
Nothing I can really think of so far, things have progressed well and at a great speed but we are early in on our partnership.
Personalisation at scale: Before Exponea we could only personalise content on a per channel basis as a basic level of personalisation. Now with Exponea we’re able to personalise all customer touch points including previously untouched channels such as mobile push and web push. As all communication channels are powered by Exponea’s single and consistent dataset, it enables true omni-channel personalisation at scale.

The split between customer attributes and events, with their own attributes, is 100% the best practice way to build a framework that can be tailored to each organisation in terms of which data is pushed, but also how it is used for segments, campaigns and reports. It's the best tool out there. Additionally, the flexibility in the campaign builder to create journeys based on different behaviours, segments and so on, is user friendly and intuitive. Top class.

The human service is what I like most. The Exponea team have been very easy to work with. They have been attentive to requests, training, meetings and have provided to a great level of knowledge and care. The platform is great for reporting, with dashboards that are easy to customise and share with colleagues. The user experience is great, the tool feels relatively easy to use and learn for everything we've done so far.
So far it is hard to pin point an area for improvement as my relationship with Exponea is relatively new and I feel satisfied so far. However if I have to describe a point, as time progresses and both companies are more familiar with each other - I would like to see more future objectives/future roadmap suggestions from Exponea based on their understanding of Fiflop’s business and customers.

We are quite happy with Exponea. They are improving very fast and fixing any bugs. As any tool Exponea has potential to improve, however their customer service is reacting fast and we feel like they are hearing the market requests. Within minutes and majority of the questions are answered on a first call, people are always helpful.

The Exponea team has exceeded our expectations at every turn – and they set them quite high during the sales process! They've been incredibly helpful at every step of our journey, and that's really set them apart as a vendor. Support is always quick and helpful, and the product team seems genuinely interested in our input. Which leads us to the product...it's great! We needed a way to get a full picture of our customers, and to execute omni-channel marketing campaigns personalised for each customer, and we got just that. It doesn't hurt that the interface is great to use, and constantly surpises with its capabilities.
It's honestly hard to come up with too many critiques, as Exponea is always more than willing to handle our concerns...but perhaps a few more pre-built integrations would be helpful.

Exponea has given us one unified platform to manage these communications and better understand our customers.
Exponea combines very powerful segmentation and reporting capabilities with extensive options for automated campaign control. In this respect, Exponea forms a single point of truth (SPoT) that is easy to use by CRM managers and marketers. Behavioral data gathered from the website or the app, plus order data from backend systems (including offline orders) are not siloed anymore. They are clearly and centrally structured and easily accessible. With just a few clicks, the CLV and other loyalty indicators can be calculated. By the powerful segmentation function, you can concentrate on the exact customer segment and set the focus for your campaigns: New customers, VIP customers, sleeping customers, etc. The data model, which is based on events, provides a lot of flexibility.
The exact correlations between aggregated data, calculated expressions, segments, and reports are powerful, but initially challenging. Luckily, there are on-boarding tutorials and examples, which are highly recommended for an in-depth introduction.
Which business problems can be solved with Exponea? Thanks to the logic behind the events function, we can track the behavior of every single customer (orders, shipping, returns, calls, complaints, etc.) With Exponea we can gather deep insights about our customer loyalty at the early stages. Thanks to cohort surveys we see segment distribution for different KPIs like CLV, average order values, order frequencies and thanks to the website integration and respective UTM parameters - also for individual campaign (groups). We can then launch personalized campaigns based on our customer segments. That’s a perfect solution, because you can see how many customers receive a campaign, anytime. You can even look at customers individually. The entire segmentation calculation happens in real time.
A/B Testing, Recommendations, Predictions. We are able to generate variations in images and text in our messaging towards our segmented groups, via email, sms, web, etc and test their performance in real-time with the A/B test feature. This has been really cool for us because we can clearly see what is doing well and what is not doing as well. Exponea also offers Recommendations which has been critical in us being able to upsell and cross-sell to our user base. The recommendations come from the use of the tool's A.I. capabilities. We aren't just sending random recommendations out, they come from knowing the purchase history, browsing history, and look alike audience. The recommendation feature is very contextual and we've seen a great increase in our sales due to this. Predictions is another great aspect of Exponea as it is able to detect viewers that are likely to churn and send them a discount voucher and allows the ability to create a personalized offer. This can rekindle the relationship with customers who may not be interested in our shop anymore. This has been highly useful for us in preventing churn. Together, all of these functionalities makes it easier to not only understand our customers but it helps us create a better relationship with each one of customers. We can personalize on a one-to-one basis with our entire data base. It's pretty impressive.
The tool is user-friendly but the most difficult thing is getting new in-house users completely working comfortably with Exponea - it takes a bit of time. To be fair here, I am super satisfied with the platform and it's still much easier to use and highly dynamic, especially in comparison to other products on the market.
I already mentioned the great features above, but we also use Exponea for the omni-channel comms. Actually, this is a big one because it knows exactly the right time to send the message to each of our customers, through their channel of preference. I think the team over there at Exponea says "right message to the right person at the right time, or something like that. But it defines the capability well. In the past, we just sent out messages and it was generally a one message sent to the data base. You can imagine the impact that Exponea has allowed us to have in creating better retention.

Amazing support during integration, but also in training and helping to get the most out of the tool. Very fast integration, incredible depth in the product and flexibility for analysis/setting up campaigns and easy to use vs other tools I've used in the past.
Unfamiliar company in the UK market, so took extra convincing during the pitch process to establish their credentials/credibility, but having worked with them for a couple of months I have no doubts they will be very well known soon! Tool is not 100% there yet, they are still building in some areas which are needed to be a complete solution, but does everything we need at our level of marketing maturity and does it very well.
Replacing a cumbersome and restrictive CRM platform, with something much more agile and automated. So far we have dramatically reduced the manual work for deploying multiple customized campaigns across different territories, enabling the team to focus on coming up with much more creative campaigns in the first place. This speed of deployment also allows for much more flexibility in reacting to competition. Testing has also gone from an incredibly long winded process, to something which we can have running in the background the whole time.
We use Exponea as the platform, where we can control all our marketing efforts, lead flows and activities. Once you have arranged all the triggered campaigns and scenarios, the main part is done. After that we are able to analyze the performance from top of the funnel all the way to conversions. The preparation of newsletter campaigns is simple and smooth. The deliverability functionality provides flexible amount of control and we are sure emails get delivered. Users also gets to see the coding behind the customization. Set-up of pop-up banners is easy to make and helps simplify processes.
Exponea might be tough to learn, so make sure you have employees who can learn technology quickly and are able to use the full potential of advanced use cases. Also, there is a small user community at the moment.

Exponea does a lot of progressive automation, that is more powerful and flexible than other robust tools. It offers a solid mix of usability and functionality. If your goal is to see immediate results in a few weeks, Exponea is a perfect fit. Anyone can build comprehensive scenarios, funnels, workflows, data segments and customize onsite digital notifications without advanced developer skills. The real-time, drag’N’drop style canvas is intuitive for business users to exploit as well.
Sometimes it takes some time to get the data you would like to have immediately. Also mobile application with dashboards would be much appreciated.
Our goals is to improve online experience for our visitors. I work with reports from multiple sources - Exponea makes it easy for me to link them all together, provides me reports that give me better insight I need and the next action I should take. Thanks to evaluation of the campaigns we know who is engaging with our content and who is not, which allows us to focus on the right efforts. The flexibility of Exponea is suitable for us. Of course, no software is going to enable you to do every single thing your brain can come up with, but Exponea comes pretty close. We are able to gather data through engagement incentives and on site web banners. Having our lead database, emails, surveys, NPS banners and customized dashboards all in one tool enable us to streamline our campaign efficiently.

For us as an agency, we offer our clients variety of solutions and one tool and in this case one tool seems to be a fit for everyone, thanks to its flexibility. We shifted from an endless stream of tools to a single platform. First we used Exponea just for analytics. After we realized the confusion about “what each metric/report in previous tools means and why they differ” is gone, we made Exponea a brain of our marketing stack -> data flows both ways, in and out. We stopped exporting contacts from analytics tools and importing them to emailing tools and it saved us lot of time. Exponea allows you to execute omni-channel campaigns from one system through its ability to easily integrate with almost any system and trigger the right kind of action in your call-centre system or POS system. Plus big thumbs up for the user interface.
The most difficult attribution challenge is with offline campaigns, but our main focus is online environment. This is not an issue for us.
Exponea helped us to reach our customers by personalized messages and emails. We mainly use Exponea email management tools. You just drag & drop all the elements and key visuals; and email template is ready in a few seconds.
I like its own Tag Manager where I can intuitively track parts of the website without the help of a programmer.
It's a massive tool and in the very beginning I need the help from Exponea support team. I wish they'd prepare more tutorials or ebooks in the future.
