the best thing about it is that we can use it as a simple app on our desktop. Nothing complicated in it
I personally like it but for business purposes, it is not free.
its biggest benefit is the access to data and big space
I like the fact that no matter my location, and time, I can access all documents as required
I wish that it was free for everyone at every stage.
I can save my data instantly without worrying. What I dislike is the buying of space after the originally provided one has depleted.
That it is seamlessly integrated/linked with all the production apps, to use it as cloud drive, or to use it as a backup storage
The mobile app is not very good in UX/UI
I have all my files synced in all my devices: PC, tablet, phone. We are using it also to share plannings, with the planner tool. The main benefit is the ability to integrate/link with our other main software tools
Dropbox Business is an advanced way to store all our documents due to its advanced cloud and security features. Additionally, the UI is clean and easy to navigate so things aren't cluttered and confusing.
Since I have begun using Dropbox Business I have not found anything I dislike. It has simplified and organized all my processes for file saving, storing, and sharing. Also, the process to add and remove users has been updated and improved.
Dropbox Business has helped us stay organized and on top off all our files. It is a great benefit to be able to share documents and folders with certain employees so that all users don't have access to items they shouldn't. The security and encryption is advanced.
sync speed and offline access provides excellent solution to my existing offsite data storage requirements. Dropbox is easy to integrate with NAS solutions and other data storage systems
Its dependent on internet if the connection is not stable large files may take longer time to sync on the online dropbox account and this also slows down network at times
data regulatory requirements for offsite storage and data availability requirements by having file copies online and having periodic data sync automatically solves alot of manual work
i can use it in my system and upload safely ll my files to the cloud as well
It works a bit slow on my system even after reinstalling
I can use this to store my important files and data from my system and access them anywhere.
Dropbox is an excellent software to share files easily for my colleagues and me. It's quick and effective, making sharing files seamless as we can upload and send them in no time. We can upload multiple files simultaneously, saving time as a result. We can keep track of all the uploads and reupload if they fail due to a connection error. Dropbox makes file sharing simpler as we can copy and paste the URL to anyone and allow them to download the file. We can also use their email as a medium of transferring files. Dropbox offers methods to organize your file to your liking. You can create folders and sort them in any manner of your convenience so that you can find any file you're looking for quickly. Unlike Microsoft OneDrive, the files you upload do not get deleted for any period of inactivity. So, you can upload your files to Dropbox and have them on the cloud for months and years for backup and storage. I like that Dropbox has support for more than just Windows. I can use it on my android and iOS phones for uploading or receiving files from others. Due to its cross-platform support, Dropbox is also an effective and secure program for transferring confidential or essential files to my computer and back.
Dropbox, being a standalone software, has limited features compared to Google Drive, which has more depth and tools for group work and collaboration on docs and sheets.
Dropbox is my go-to program for sending files to my colleagues. I've been using it for many years for storing files and sharing them quickly due to its instant uploads and secure URLs. But due to the global pandemic, I've been an avid user of Dropbox for many of its features. My colleagues and I use it for uploading files and sharing, which is our primary purpose as we're working at home due to social distancing rules. We have common storage in shared folders, where we can upload files that everyone can access without sending invitations multiple times. We have viewing and editing access for all the members who can view these folders, making it easier for us to work on the cloud for writing code. Dropbox is a much more effective version of GitHub as we can not only collaborate and edit code but also share them without any hassle. We can use Dropbox Paper, Word Document, and Google Docs to create and edit documents on Dropbox. For spreadsheets, we can use the Excel Workbook or Google Sheets. Dropbox also allows us to create presentations seamlessly through PowerPoint and Google Slides. We can also create a blank Dropbox Paper Template and work on it collaboratively for any use.
Simple interface, easy to access, requires little technical know-how. I can set it up simply to transfer files to those that are "less tech savy".
Nothing really! It does the job you expect of it and does it very well.
File transfer or remote storage for common use files.
I love how easy it is to share files with colleagues and 3rd parties with Dropbox.
I don't really have any dislikes with the product.
Dropbox makes it easy to collaborate on documents and it makes it easier to work together to achieve business objectives.
Ease of sharing documents between team members when not in the exact location. Users can share documents between contractors, IT Professionals, Banking Officials, and many more professionals.
I do not have anything negative about Dropbox.
I can share documents with many IT professionals not located in the same office; thus, we are more productive and accomplish our goals, and increase performance.
Most everything? It frees up desk space (in a secure cloud) and allows ease of sharing documents across our company.
So far, there is nothing I do not like about it. It's very user-friendly and valuable to our day-to-day jobs.
As mentioned earlier, we need the ability to share documents company-wide. We all work remote (mainly), and the ease of jumping into our shared drop box spaces to get documents/PDFs we need is very convienant.
Dropbox is an easy way for me and my entire team to upload and share files. I appreciate that I can use it from my phone or from my desktop, and that it accepts multiple file types. I find that Dropbox is easy to use and that files are easy to organize. I like that Dropbox works well on a Mac or a PC, as we have team members who use both types of computers. I think the historical features within Dropbox are nice - I have had no problem recovering accidentally deleted files, previous versions, etc. I also feel that Dropbox is worth the cost - they have so many plan options that it's easy to choose one that fits the uses you need and your budget.
I find the protection features difficult to understand. This could certainly be user error, but I wish there were clearer instructions on how to protect folders from others viewing them. Other than that, I have had zero issues working with Dropbox and I cannot think of any other dislikes!
Using Dropbox has solved the problem of how to get our remote employees, or traveling employees, access to our company files when they are not in-house and thus cannot access our local drive. We have found it incredibly beneficial to use Dropbox because it allows us to share and access files from everywhere, in or out of the office. It has made project management easier for our field crew and it has made coordination easier for our admin team.
Upload and download speed is really good; data is also segregated in the folders where you want. If you have big team and you want them to upload their files only in there folder, DropBOX is the best choice.
Not really, Theme, speed, features, everything is perfect no point here to dislike any feature.
I am taking employees' data from different locations/ projects. Only sending them a link it targets exactly where I want. they can just click and upload requested files.
You can upload content of any volume and it get it uploaded easily, we also store all of our company content in dropbox, and the best part is you can access the files from any where and on any device just you must have a link.
some time finding large files in URLs is difficult when you don't remember the folder you have uploaded the file and the file name.
1. Can access the files easily anywhere and on any device. 2. You have an option of the mobile app, and the desktop it therefore given you sync between both the devices. 3. You don't have to worry about privacy as it is very much secure
Dropbox made it very easy to send and receive documents back and forth to colleagues/family/etc. It is also nice because you can exchange pictures as well. I was able to share a whole Disney vacation album on there.
I would not recommend it for HIPAA compliance or use, it does not seem to have proper privacy in regards to sharing patient data, etc. The formatting of the website is basic/old looking.
For a non-HIPAA document, it is quite easy to share back and forth with a co-worker/family member. It is nice that you do not have to wait like a fax, instead it is it right there.
I like how it syncs all my documents across devices
The mobile app is missing features that are available in the web
Ability to access documents across devices and collaborating with others
I like that this software allows you to transfer large files with ease worldwide.
I do not have anything I dislike about Dropbox. I have never had a negative experience using this website, either for personal use or through my work environment.
This solves the problem of transferring large videos or files, which otherwise would not be able to be attached to an email directly. I work with press reps worldwide who are always sending files through this service.
Ease of use and access for clients is one of the best things about Dropbox; we require specific staff to have access to a 'Secure Vault'. We use dropbox for this as it needs to be accessed by different companies.
Sometimes syncing can break, but nothing a simple restart of the application doesn't fix. The only other issue I can think of was when moving the storage over to another drive, you're better off just having a fresh install.
Having multiple companies within our group access one shared secure folder without the need for VPN access. This has saved us both money and time, as opposed to deploying a full VPN solution.
I like that I can go anywhere and have my files right there no matter what computer I'm on. As a writer, this makes keeping my manuscripts accessible, and it doesn't matter that I'm not on my original PC.
I'm not too fond that it has such a low storage cap for the website. The only way to get more is if you have the primium. It isn't too expensive; it's just not ideal for some.
The problem I'm solving with dropbox is that I don't have to remember to take my thumb drives with me when I go out of town. It makes writing on the go a lot easier, and I don't have to remember the hardware all the time.
