I really like how ON24 isn't just about broadcasting your webinar, there are lots of features to make it more interactive with polls, q&a's, links to other content and the ability to see the presenters (if needed)
There is a lot to the platform and can take a little while to get your head around how to set things up, so this can be a challenge if you are working with people who haven't presented before.

We use on24 to power client webinars. On24 gave us a solid option with good analytics that made it easy to report customer success metrics
What I like the most of ON24 is the good journey of an user starting from the registration page, to the emails before webinar, to the console live webinar and to the email post webinar. Everything is correct maybe a little bit simple (honestly I prefer something more customizable and complex) but right in the process.
As said before I think that everything is a little bit simple, without possibility to customize in details every single element. There are not so much settings to control and so all the elements are basic and not so elaborated. At the end I will put also attention in integration. I think ON24 needs to develop more integration with other platform to give possibility to cooperate with other specific online platform as for example act-on for email marketing.
We have in Bruker the need of a solid software easy in the usage to create webinar and to have a journey dedicated for the user. ON24 helped our business to have an unique platform in which do all this process, furthermore it helped with the custom development of the connection us to have data of registration coming from an email marketing software directly in ON24.
I've been using ON24 for over 4 years now. They have a nice integration with Marketo, and the ability to customize the console experience. They have the ability to upload resources, ask questions, pole, share your video with the audience, share your screen, etc.
There are many glitches and small things that take getting used to - for example: knowing to upload white noise and a blank slide before starting a recording or else the recording will get cut off.
We are able to MQL leads quickly with ON24's ability to have users answer a survey after the webinar. We always ask them a question that would be able to qualify them for MQL.

Better engagement with webinars
The ability to collect tons of different kinds of data via the platform, polling, Q&A and survey. Customer service has been responsive when we've reached out. Marks webinars are extremely helpful from an education perspective.
Platform can be difficult to understand and is not intuitive. Lack of training on how to use it. We've had trouble linking to microphones in the room, so always have to use my laptop computer audio when I moderate panels which leads to spotty audio.
How to quickly engage and create content for a time-sensitive audience. We've gotten great adoption and engagement with our audience and its been great from a branding and lead generation perspective. We've also been able to collect really good market research data points to help support our product business cases.
I appreciate the user friendly nature of ON24. In these high tech times, simple and high quality aren't something that go hand and hand, and yet the webcast platform offers exceptional interface.
It's wonderful that ON24 links with twitter, however I wish the platform was more compatible with instagram as most of our followers connect with us via that platform.
The webcast built in tools allow us to share more information such as graphs and charts.

It seems very much dependent on legacy technology. Hosting and setting up a live webinar can be more complex than it should be.
It provides a good solution for online events and webinars. It has helped with producting and providing them for our prospects.
There is a chat feature to speak to someone right away. User function and user interface is well liked by clients. Recent update that allows the webinar type to be changed is helpful.
You waste time having to be escalated to tier 2 in chat. Sometimes answers are very unhelpful. Resources are unavailable unless you are logged in, difficult to share to clients. Usually solutions are to submit a ticket for further help. Need a better system to look up FAQs, or more details. More resources. More technology issues happen than I would like. The international country list is a bit strange since it doesn't include many countries. Hard to get answers for specific situations if a client has strange requests. Editing the audio/presentation on-demand is very difficult.
Doesn't have the best options to mediate timely issues during a live webinar. Also difficult to know when to ask for help from customer service. What will or will not be charged when you submit a ticket. Also timeliness is an issue sometimes. Some requests are "quickly" done but not done 100% correct the first two times. It would be GREAT if you can edit specific audio files for a pre-recorded webinar.
The platform allows us to easily host webinars on a greater scale than we ever previously able to do. The product contains a plethora of useful features but in particular, the console designer and modules are te area we've seen most benefit.
The reliability of the screenshare functionality has been an issue for us in the past, but progress has been made on this and the html 5 platform now provides a much more robust solution.
We're able to better utlilize i a lot of the great content we already have by amplifying it through the webinar format to reach a wider audience. This is driving a significant portion of total lead generation and feeding our pipeline.

I like the customer chat option. It makes it a lot easier to get quick answers to my questions.
I dislike how videos uploaded separately into webinars have to be really short and relatively poor quality. I would also like if we could prevent certain users in the presentation manager from seeing certain features on the interface, such as the Q&A box.

Our company hosts over 500 webcasts per year. ON24 provides us with a swift, digital platform which makes creating and hosting webcasts incredibly easy. We don't have to worry about double booking a conference call line, and the recordings export to an MP4 format which makes it easier for our customers to access the education. Reporting breaks down between registrants vs. attendees, and then tells you how many people accessed the recording.
Learning curve can be long, especially for speakers. If they do not install the correct plugins in advance of their webcast, we run into technical snafu's which can be often times embarrassing.
Ease of access: members can use their mobile devices to listen to our webcasts after the fact, as opposed to having to solely rely on using a laptop/desktop. Webcast representation is also very professional, especially the waiting room where attendees go prior to the webcast beginning.

How you cannot have multiple accounts for each user. Anyone who has a login will see every single webcast and not just their region. Also, Integrating in China is extremely difficult.
We now have the ability to track all attendees interactions, not just attendance.
